He was born in Wood County, a son of the late Fred and Cora Jacobs Brown. He attended the Limestone United Methodist Church, was a retired farmer and a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics of Rockport.
He is survived by two brothers, Virgil Brown of Arcadia, FL, and William Brown of Parkersburg; one sister, Bessie Stephens of Dunbar, WV.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Kimes Funeral Home with the Rev. G.W. Prine officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today where memorial services will be 7:30 p.m. by Junior Order of United American Mechanics.
