Son of ~ Bethiah (Smith) and Daniel Andrew Chapman

Timothy was buried 150 feet West of His Father


Death Records, were not kept until, Year 1887, This County.

Paulding County Probate Court records reflects 2 June,1888,

as correct date, for His Death. Several of His Children were

buried near Him, at same Cemetery. Catherine was listed,

as His Widow, with His Will. He was a Resident of Harrison

Township, Paulding County, Ohio, but His Will states it's in,

Peter Dench, was the Administrator of the Estate, and was

responsible, for the Sale of $10,000, in Personal Property.


He lived, for awhile, Half a Mile South of the Old Erie Canal

and Half Mile East of the Ohio/Indiana State Line, on a farm.

He had a Large Orchard there, with Apple and Pear Trees.

He was a Farmer, Handyman, worked for a time, with the

Railroad and worked for the Government.


He was written about, in the "Genealogy of the Chapman

Family". Was Close to His Uncle, John, "Johnny Appleseed",

working with Him, with His Apple Orchards. Many of the

trees, unfortunately were cut down. Prohibition Years, of

1920-1933, FBI Agents, removed them. Johnny didn't like

using grafting methods, so the apples were sour/bitter,

and were used instead to make Hard Cider. When Johnny

passed away, Timothy, was there with Him. Only a few,

attended the Funeral, Timothy, along with Pall Bearers.


The 19 of August, 1863, with the absence of their Father,

Timothy, filed an Affidavit, in Paulding's Probate Court,

when His Half-Sister, Corintha, Married to, John Drake.

Due to Her Age, Giving Her permission to Marry. On Her

Marriage Record it states His Name, followed by Afft.
