Son of ~ Nathaniel and Elizabeth (Simonds) Chapman

Four Children were born to Elizabeth. SAR Record Names,

Andrew, Elizabeth, David, and Nathaniel, as The Children.

Middle names used for Daniel and John. (Refer to Photo)

Married ~ 2 Spouses

1) Bethia Smith ~ 1818

Children ~ Timothy, John Joseph, Miles Ebben (1824),

Rowena, Aaron Burr, Andrew Jackson, and Mary Jane

2) Elmira Rose ~ 1840

Children ~ Eliza, Cordelia, Julian, Corintha, and Rose

While One Graver, believes Miles Ebben, doesn't connect to

this line, He does. In the 1870 Census, for DeKalb County, IN.

He's with His Mom, Bethia (Smith) Bissett [FAG#240296236]

According to the Book, " Genealogy of the Chapman Family,

Relatives of John 'Johnny Appleseed' Chapman", by Lizzie

Roebuck, it should not be dismissed. It was compiled, from

Public Records, from Court Houses and Affidavits. 43 pages.

Known as, ANDREW, Father's SAR Record, Chapman Book,

even called ANDREW, by His Grandsons. On Death Records

of Son, Andrew, Daughter, Eliza, & Elmira's Obit, as DANIEL.

Found, 1790 Census, Lunenburgh, Ma, an Enumeration List.

Daniel, 18, with Siblings, Elizabeth, 20, John, 16, and believe

Lucy, with His Half-Siblings. His Father, was on another list.

He was born, in Leominster, Five miles from Lunenburgh.

Today, at what's known as, Johnny Appleseed Lane. Said,

the Best of Brothers, Daniel was an Older Brother, of John.

Imagine, traveling barefoot, down Old Route 24, between

Ft. Wayne and Toledo, checking on your Apple Orchards or

traveling to Antwerp, Ohio to visit Family. Johnny did that,

still, at age Seventy. Descendants, I've been told, grew up

with stories, of John, "Johnny Appleseed".

From what little has been written about Him, thru the years,

Daniel was a farmer, hunter, and a fisherman. He had a big

belly and wore a tattered old top coat. Notable fact, He left

His First Wife and Children, somehow started over, but still

was, in His Children's lives. She remarried, as did He. He was

especially close to His Eldest Son, Timothy.

Almost lost, in HIS~STORY. Replaced on Ancestry, Wiki, and

Family Search. First as, Abner Cooley Chapman. [Wiki~Search]

Abner, never married Elmira, 1840 Census, She's in Michigan,

while, He's in Gallia Co, Ohio. He was Married, just not to Her.

Second as, Daniel D. Chapman, whom for a time, lived in Ohio.

Buried in, Wayne Co, New York, along with His Spouse, Susan.

Married, in 1816, She died, in 1853. Both Men, now debunked.

For 200 years, His Father, Nathaniel's SAR Record, remained

unchanged. Twenty years ago, for unknown reasons, Brothers,

Abner and Andrew, were combined, on that Record, and again,

on WIKI. Today, the DNA Match, can be found on Wiki, with

Daughter, Corintha's, Blood Line.

From Val Householder, Great-Great Granddaughter, of Daniel's,

Great-Granddaughter, of Miles Ebben Chapman. In War of 1812,

From Massachusetts, (Photo) Was a Private, in New York's Militia,

Colonel Bellinger 's Regiment. Was given a Land Grant, and after

His Death, Bethia filed and was granted, as His Widow, that land.

Both, Val's Father & Grandfather, King William & Henry Chapman,

contributed to the Book, by Lizzie Roebuck, on the Chapman's .

Thanks Val for this valuable info. [Court~Medina, OH~May 1860]

Daniel was buried, in an unmarked grave, in Riverside Cemetery.

Buried, 150 feet East of Son, Timothy's, large monument. It stands,

close to the center, of this Cemetery. Daughters, Cordelia & Julian,

were also buried there. No other, Family Stones, found. (3-21-23)
