The partial remains of the ten members of the B-24 crew of "Miss Fortune" were buried here in one coffin until the remains were cremated and repatriated to Germany, France, and in 1950 to Jefferson Barracks.

The headstone remembers the crew of the B-24 "Miss Fortune" #42-73138 that crashed on the nearby Dubec Hill; only Raymond Noury survived.
