Caroline Gescha (Lena) Timken was born on January 28, 1881 near Paola in Miami County, Kansas. Her parents were Cord and Anna (Gerken) Timken. Lena was married to Edward G. Feldman on October 13, 1898. Their first home was in Brazelton, Crawford County, Kansas. In October 1901 they moved to Meade County where they filed a claim in Cimarron Township. For several years Lena was postmistress for the community Post Office that she operated in their home. By 1928 they had moved into Meade, where they continued to live for the rest of their lives.
Lena & Ed were the parents of Herman, Clarence, Arthur, Lloyd, Ada, Elma and Edith. They were grandparents of ten grandchildren.
