Richard "Rick" Rogers, age 69, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away peacefully, while surrounded by loved ones at Bell Trace Health & Living in Bloomington. Rick was born in Bloomington on April 19, 1948 to Floyd Thomas and Pauline (Voland) Rogers.

Rick worked in the quarry for many years as a stoneworker and an operator. He was a member of Local 741 Union in Bloomington. Rick was an outdoorsman and avid horseman who loved his horse, Midnight, dearly. Rick enjoyed hunting, woodworking, camping, hunting mushrooms, traveling, especially to Mexico, and he loved his dogs. Above all, Rick loved his family.

Rick is survived by his wife, Tammy (Ratliff) Rogers, children, Kevin Rogers (Jackie), Robin Bueckers (Bill), Laura Colvin (Troy), Julie Washburn, John Rogers, and Richie McDowell, grandkids, Bret Hawkins, Chris Bueckers, Kelsey Rogers, Anthony Bueckers, and Summer McDowell, siblings, Jimmy Rogers, Wilma Branum, Pattie Ann Chambers, Betty Sue Bender, Nancy Capps, Connie VanPelt, Barb VanBuskirk, and Bonnie Houshour.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Floyd Ray Rogers, Eddie Roy Rogers, and Daniel Rogers.

Visitation for Rick will be on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington, Indiana 47401.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 at The Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Allen's Creek Cemetery in Bloomington. Pastor Harold Godsey will officiate.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association in Rick's name.
