Richard P. Royer, 69, of Loganville, died at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday at York Hospital. He was the husband of Betty A. (VanHorn) Royer.

The service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 40 S. Main St., Loganville. Burial will be private in Dodson Cemetery in Shickshinny. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown.

Mr. Royer was born July 9, 1929, in Red Lion. He was the son of the late Paul M. and Mary E. (Sterner) Royer.

He was a tool and die maker at Berg Electronics, retiring in 1975 after five years of service. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Royer also is survived by two sons, David P.E. Royer of York and Steven A.J. Royer of Felton; a daughter, Robin L. Royer of York; a stepson, Russell W. Ansbach of East Berlin; seven grandsons; two brothers, Charles Royer of Red Lion and Timothy Royer of Brogue; and three sisters, Patricia Mellinger of Red Lion, and Rose Wagaman and Marilyn Reisinger, both of Dallastown.

Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Goodloe D. Love.
