James David Aldridge, 74, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2023 at New Albany Health and Rehab. He was born in New Albany, MS on April 12, 1948 to Luther Leon Aldridge and Loris Hardy Aldridge. His survivors are his wife, Sheryl Prescott Aldridge, whom he married on June 1, 1967, and his children, Joey Aldridge and his wife, Tracey, Chad Aldridge and his wife, Janet, and Janet Aldridge Burgeson and her husband, Tracey; and his grandchildren who were dearly loved by Yang-Yang, Brad Aldridge and his wife, Abby, Grace Aldridge, Adalyn Henderson and her husband, Rives, Isabella Aldridge, Gaby Ositis, Paige Aldridge, Eva Catherine Aldridge, Natalie Ositis, Brayden Burgeson, Taylor Ann Burgeson and Samuel Burgeson; other survivors include his sister, Marlene Miller and Kermit of Jacksonville, FL, his brother-in-law, Eddy Prescott and sister-in-law, Judy Wilbanks; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Hall Wilbanks, Jr.; a sister-in-law, Jo Kathryn Prescott and a brother, Luther Aldridge.
Visitation will be held at New Albany Presbyterian Church on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 12:00p.m. until 2:00p.m. with the service immediately following. Bro. Stephen Ewing and Bro. Bill Everett will officiate. Pallbearers will be; Matt Cherry, Will Cherry, Rives Henderson, Bill Prescott, Brad Aldridge, Mays Prescott, Brayden Burgeson, and Samuel Burgeson.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to New Albany Presbyterian Church and Cambridge United Methodist Church in Lafayette County.
