Born in Louisiana he had lived in Nederland for over sixty years. He retired from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 502 in Port Arthur after fifty years of service.
He proudly wore his Army uniform and was known as "the man with the medals" at the 9:00 AM Mass at St. Charles Catholic Church. He received his purple heart in 1999 for wounds received in WWII while serving his country in the Army Air Corp.
He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty four years, Rose Aimee Prejean.
Survivors include his daughters, Mary Anne Bellow and husband Ed, Mary Alice Hunter and husband David, Theresa Rose Jordan and husband Price; ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
