Hazel was the daughter of Alonzo Clark and Dora Nisonger McMillan from Indiana with siblings: Gladys Rena (1895) and Weir (1906). She married Cleo Gibson, the son of Findlay and Adella Porter Gibson, on 21 November 1908 in Angola, Indiana. Hazel had a high school education and was a telephone operator. She died at the age of 25 days past her ninety-third birthday and is buried next to her sister Gladys and brother, Weir.
