Dennis Lee Hower, 57, of Topeka, KS, formerly of Holton, KS, passed away tragically in Topeka. He was born December 29, 1965 in Holton, KS, the son Warren C. or Mary M. (Todd) Hower.

Dennis graduated from Holton High School in 1984. He attended Highland Community College and 3 years at Emporia State University.

He worked for TARC Sheltered Living and Capper Foundation. He was a member of the Evangel United Methodist Church in Holton and was attending Countyside United Methodist in Topeka. Dennis was also a volunteer for Topeka Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Survivors include 2 sisters,...; one brother,...; 5 nieces; 1 nephew and 8 great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Mary Hower and brother, Russell Hower.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2023 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow at the Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Dennis will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Countryside United Methodist Church or Holton Community Hospital c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
