Funeral Set for Mrs. Cummings Here
Funeral services for Mrs. Charlotte Ross Cummings, 87, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William T. Satterwhite. 286 Santa Clara avenue, yesterday, will be held at the Oakland Crematorium at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning.
Mrs. Cummings was a member of an old Massachusetts family and was one of the oldest living alumnae of Holyoke College.
Born in Oxford, Ohio, she came to Oakland 40 years ago.
She married Captain James Cummings, Civil war veteran, here and later moved to Terre Haute, Ind., where she lived 13 years before returning to Oakland.
She is survived by three daughter Mrs. Satterwhite, Mrs. William F. Culberson, of San Francisco, and Miss Mary Cummings of San Anselmo, and one son, Loren E. Cummings of San Francisco.
