Mildred Florence Abbott, 81, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023 at Charlestown Place. Mildred was born on February 16, 1942 in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
She worked for Greater Clark County Schools.
She is survived by her son Donald Scott Abbott (JoAnn) of Scottsburg, IN; daughters Karen Lynn Headrick (Robert) of Floyds Knobs, IN & Cheryl Lee Riley (Michael) of Clarksville, IN; brothers Roy Lee McKinney & Roger "Butch" Dale McKinney of Charlestown; grandchildren Scott Abbott, Shelbi Curry, John Abbott, Bethany Riley, Alannah Abbott, Braeden Headrick & Jordan Headrick; 5 great-grandchildren.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Francis Eugene Abbott; parents Roy McKinney Sr. & Ruth McKinney; granddaughter Megan Abbott; 2 sisters & 2 brothers.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday after 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
