Graveside services for John Harvey Bookout, 77, of Kent, Wash., will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, in Mountain View Cemetery, Auburn, Wash. He died July 26, 1997, at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Wash.
Mr. Bookout was born in Branson. He served with the Army Air Corps before WWII and retired as a mechanic from the King County Parks Department in 1985.
Surviving are his wife, Betty (Laird) Bookout, of Kent; one brother, Ted Bookout of Branson, three sisters, Virginia Hartzell of Branson, Frances Wyman of Rueter, and Marjorie Bookout of Shelton, Wash. He was preceded in death by a sister, Emma Moore.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
