Ballet Dancer, Choreographer. The first daughter of world-famous ballet dancer, Vaslav Nijinsky, Kyra followed in her father's footsteps by dancing for the Ballet Rambert company in London. She played a significant role in choreographing and dancing in ballets throughout her career. She married Ukrainian conductor, Igor Markevitch, in Budapest which resulted in their one and only child, Vaslav. After divorcing Igor Markevitch years later, Kyra moved to Rome and later San Francisco and lived alone. Kyra died in San Francisco on September 1, 1998.
