Katie Edwards Breithaupt, 85, of Jonesville passed from this life on Friday, December 9, 2022, at LaSalle General Hospital in Jena.
She was born on January 6, 1937, in Archie to the union of her parents John Edwards and Beckie Bird Edwards.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 12, at Pritchard Baptist Church with Reverend Carl Guide and Reverend Gary Norris officiating.
Interment followed in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Rhinehart under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reece M. Breithaupt, Sr.; parents; sisters, Beth Edwards Bradford, Tilda Edwards Young and Tilly Edwards Whittam; and son-in-law, Lawrence Nichols.
Those left to cherish in her memory include her sons, Reece M. Breithaupt, Jr. of Ohio and James A. Breithaupt of Virginia; daughters, Mary Moffett (Tommy) of Jena and Mildred Rose Nichols of Jonesville; grandsons, John Nichols (Brittney), Michael Moffett (Megan), Marcus Nichols and Grayson Moffett (Aleesha); and great grandchildren, Camden Reece Moffett, Easton Moffett, Taylor Moffett, Andrew Moffett, Maddox Moffett, Elli Falgoust, Fynn Falgoust, Emery Falgoust, Daylin Bowman and Braelynn Johnson.
Pallbearers were Robert Huffman, Craig Breithaupt, Charles Bird, Ben Dosher, David Francis and Robert Joy.
Honorary pallbearers were Terry Bradford, Todd Fannin and Eli Cooper.
