Funeral services for Tillie Whitam Fuglaar, 79, of Germantown, TN and formerly of Natchez, who died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at The Gardens of Germantown Assisted Living, will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nance Hixon officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. Saturday until time of service at the church.
Mrs. Fuglaar was born August 14, 1934 in Archie, LA, the daughter of John Anderson Edwards and Millie Rebecca Bird Edwards. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and loved to travel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Clarence Clifford Whitam, her second husband, John Russell Fuglaar, and two sisters, Beth Bradford and her identical twin, Tilda Young.
Survivors include her son: Clifford Shaw Whitam and his wife, Judy Smallwood Whitam; two grandsons: Joshua Troy Whitam and Michael Ryan Whitam, all of Collierville, TN; one sister: Katie Breithaupt of Jonesville; one step son: James Fuglaar and his wife, Rita, of Houston, TX; two step grandchildren: Alex Fuglaar and Katherine Fuglaar; and a brother-in-law: Dr. Kenneth Whitam and his wife, Linda, of Baton Rouge.
