Russian composer and author. He taught at the Peabody Institute of Music from 1947 to 1951 and Wells College in New York from 1936 to 1941. Nabokov wrote many operas, ballets, and symphonies. He was known for "Don Quixote" and "Ode." He was also a chronicler—he wrote "Old Friends And New Music" and "Bagazh." He also appeared at many music festivals around the world including, Paris, Rome and Tokyo. He was a cousin of the famous Russian author Vladimir Nabokov.
