She grew up in Warren County. She lived in the Cadley Community of Warren County until she moved to Thomson 20 years ago. She owned and operated Millie's Florist from 1975 until 2009 when she opened Sweet Ts Restaurant. She was Baptist by faith, a member of New Providence in Cadley, and attended First Baptist Church Warrenton. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Cason; first husband, Edward Hyman; and daughter, Terri Dean. Her survivors include her husband, Don Kitchens; daughter, Traci Arrington (Freddy) of Warrenton; grandchildren, Matthew Dean, Bethany Forrester (Jeremy), and Cane Gilmer (Brett); and great grandchild, Benny Forrester.
