Patsy Ruth Joyner, 91, of Little Rock transitioned into Heaven February 5, 2023. Born Feb. 18, 1931 in Fordyce, Ark., to Chester and Esther Taylor, she married the love of her life, William (Bill) Joyner, in September of 1950.

Survived by her daughter, Cheryl Johnson (her husband, Dale); three grandchildren, Lauren Ruthven (Jonathan), Holly Caruthers (Mark), of Little Rock, and Andrew Johnson (Lindsey) of Denver; six great-grandchildren whose presence delighted her, Will, Reagan, and Taylor Ruthven, and Carter, Addie, and Ellie Caruthers.

Characterized by quiet strength and love, she lived her life simply, and enjoyed every season of it. Faith in God, love of family, and service to others were the things that brought her joy. Sharing life with great friends, yearly trips to the Rocky Mountains, and dedication to their church added to a rich life for she and Bill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sisters, Betty Brooks and Nita Moore; along with her brother-in-law, Fred Miller.

Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Pinecrest Cemetery, a memorial service will follow at Parkway Place Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m.

Memorials: Arkansas Children's Hospital, Parkway Place Baptist Church, Arkansas Baptist Children and Family Ministries.
