She was the daughter of the late Katharina J. (née Krachenfels) and Arnold A. Gremling. She will be dearly missed by her six children, a sister and her seven children, her daughter in law, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and three step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two sons, James A. and Patrick F. Baldwin, and her step great grandson, Atticus J. Presson. She was a devoted mother and gardener, and loved to read, and she loved and supported the arts. She had a generous heart and was very witty. She had earned a B.A. in English while minoring in Journalism from Nazareth College in 1952. In 1988 she earned an M.A. in English Literature from Oakland University. She taught in the Pontiac Schools. She strongly supported human rights, social justice, and civil rights, cared about the environment. She was a poet, a feminist, and a lifetime member of the N.A.A.C.P., and belonged to the MI Education Association, the Sierra Club, the National Parks Association, the Pontiac Garden Club, and others.
