On January 31, 2023 Lucienne Clara Andersen Silotti returned to the loving arms of her Father in Heaven.

Lucienne was born June 27, 1932 in Murray, Utah to Arthur William Andersen and Clara Alice Devey Hutchings. She came from a large family of 15 children.

Lucienne loved to swim and participated in many swim meets. She won many medals. Later in life she became a lifeguard and swim instructor.

During her senior year at Granite High School she met Don Silotti. While serving on his mission to Argentina, Don proposed in a letter written April 15, 1951 and on December 29, 1952 presented her an engagement ring eight days after returning home from his mission. On February 5, 1953 they were married in the Salt Lake City Temple. Later in 1953 Don was called into the service of our country and served two years in the army. After his return, they had a wonderful life together raising six wonderful children. Then, on May 11, 1983 Don left Lucienne one last time, leaving her a widow of over 39 years.

Lucienne served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints several times. While Don was in Germany she was called as a stake missionary, in 1989 she again served a stake mission, and in 1992 she served in the Texas Houston East Mission and finished her time in the Family History Mission in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her greatest missionary work was that of her family. Our mother taught us to embrace faith, work hard, give generously, serve others and openly share what we have. She was a very spiritual woman and shared her testimony through love, example and charity to each member of her family and neighbors. Each year for Christmas she would compose a letter to share, always expressing her love of the Savior and bearing her testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel.

She made thousands of quilts and donated them to the Humanitarian Center, Homeless shelter, The Christmas Box home and many hospitals around the valley. To know her was to love her.

Lucienne cherished and loved all her kind friends at Olympus Ranch where she lived. She was always kind to everyone she met.

She is survived by their six children: Colleen (Ron), Connie (Steve), Craig (Tammie), Christina (Gary), Chad (Darlene), Cindy (Ricky). Loving Grandma to 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by one sibling 101 year old Beth Evans.

Lucienne was preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, and 14 of her siblings: Leona Andersen, Lyona Dansie, Ruth Laughlin, Ester Dickey, Gladys Stum, Mark Andersen, Martina Andersen, Kay Andersen, Valene Judd, LeArta Moulton, Janyce Banks, Joy Catmull, Art Andersen, Viann Stanger and 1 grandson Ricardo Sousa Jr.

A viewing will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street, Murray Utah.

We will celebrate Lucienne's life on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Revere Meetinghouse, 981 E. Revere Circle (5555 S.), Murray, Utah, with a viewing prior to the funeral services from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

The family would like to give special thanks to the members of the Revere Ward and Olympus Ranch Branch for their love and care. You have all made this difficult time a little easier for us.
