She was preceded in death by her sister Kay (Jarrett) Unkefer.

PERRY TWP. – A 95-year-old woman and her daughter were killed Friday morning in a three-car crash, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

Karen A. Kanney, 68, of Massillon was driving her mother June Kanney, 95, also of Massillon, in a 2009 Chevrolet Impala north on Jackson Avenue when the crash occurred at 10:28 a.m. Friday.

Danyella M. Freeman, 22, of Massillon, was also driving north on Jackson with her 5-year-old toddler in their 2011 Hyundai Tucson. Lawrence J. Donohue, 82, of Canton was driving a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox west on Hankins Street NW and making a right turn onto Jackson, the patrol said.

Troopers believe that when Freeman stopped at a red light, Karen Kanney struck her from behind, pushing Freeman's vehicle through the intersection and into Donohue, as he turned, the patrol said.
