Professional Football Player. He played the running back position for the National Football League's Pittsburgh Steelers from 1977 to 1982. He played football collegiately at Northwestern State University in Louisiana and later, was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2nd round of the 1977 NFL Draft. He went on to play for the Steelers for the next six seasons, backing up future Hall of Fame running back Franco Harris throughout his tenure with the team. During his years with the Steelers, he played on two Super Bowl-winning teams (XIII and XIV). After leaving the team after the 1982 season, he took a one-year hiatus from the sport before joining the newly formed Oklahoma Outlaws of the United States Football League for one year before retiring from professional football in 1984. His career NFL statistics included 356 rush attempts for 1.512 yards and 18 rushing touchdowns.
