Joseph "Chris" Polatty, Jr., 28, entered into rest on Sunday, October 31, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 3rd at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 1721 Old 96 Indian Trail, Batesburg, SC, 29006, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Dale Mast will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 2nd at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be: Jessie Polatty, Hunter Polatty, Walt "J.R." Cook, Austin Rodgers, Joe Brooks, and Colin Maka. Honoary pallbearers will be the Area 100's D-crew from his family at Bridgestone.
Born in Aiken, SC, he was a son of Joe and Tanya Polatty. Chris enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. He was a respected member of Bridgestone Americas for six years.
Surviving are his parents, Joe and Tanya Polatty; sister, Ashly Gartman; brothers, Jessie and Hunter Polatty; nieces, Jessica Gartman and Taylor Polatty; and grandma, Betty "Ma" Turner. He also leaves behind his loving fiancé, Kristen Oswald and much beloved son, Joseph Christopher Polatty, III "J.C.".
