She was born in Kiowa, Oklahoma, to Earnest and Lottie (Williams) Rhine. She was the granddaughter of John Francis Rhine and Mary Virginia "Mollie" Hooe. She grew up in McAlester, where she met her future husband, Jimmy Maisano. They were married on Jan. 12, 1935, in McAlester and spent 73 years together living in Krebs, where they raised two children. She worked in the home most of her younger life, then went to work at Seamprufe for several years. She then went into the restaurant business and worked at Minnie's Italian Restaurant as a hostess and waitress, where she enjoyed visiting with her regular customers. When the owners of Minnie's decided to close the restaurant, she and her family bought it and continued to operate it for a few years. She decided to downsize, so she sold Minnie's and opened a small diner, Lucille's, on Highway 270 in Krebs. After retiring from the restaurant business, she began working as a caregiver for the elderly, assisting a number of people through their final years. Her true passion was her family. She was a member of the Rebekkah Lodge and enjoyed participating in local dances in her youth. Later she enjoyed playing bingo, where she could visit with her many friends. She was a resident of Krebs and passed away at McAlester Regional at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Johnny R. Maisano Sr.; a grandson, Johnny R. Maisano Jr.; a granddaughter, Amber West; two sisters, May Rhine and Mary Lee Cameron, and two brothers, Theodore Rhine and Lonnie Rhine. Funeral services were Friday, March 1, at Brumley-Mills Chapel with Deacon Bill Anderson officiating.
