Roy C Ahern, 54, 5987 Salem Pk, died Tuesday at Holmes Hospital, where he had been a patient for several weeks. Mr. Ahern was a vice president of the H A Seinsheimer Co, clothing manufacturers, to which he had devoted his entire business career. This was interrupted in 1943-45 by service in the Navy Supply Corps, from which he was separated as a lieutenant commander. A member of the class of 1932 of Xavier University, he was active In the XU Alumni Association, serving on its board of governors. He was an executive committee member and past president of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of Cincinnati, a charter member of the Queen City Association and a member of the Official Hyde Park Country Club. Surviving are his wife, Frances Maggioni Ahern; one brother, Paul C Ahern, Cincinnati, and three sisters, Mrs Virginia Finn, Wyoming, and Mrs Lucille Fischer and Mrs Janet Smyth, Cincinnati. Requiem High Mass will be Intoned at 9:30 am Friday at Guardian Angel Church, Mt Washington, with burial in St Joseph Cemetery.

However, cemetery records also list a Lt Col (sic) Roy Ahern, USNR, who died 29 Nov 1969 and was interred 1 Dec 1967 in Public Mausoleum; Crypt N-SA 20. One possible scenario is that they are the same person. He was buried first, and then later encrypted in the mausoleum. However, the truth of the matter needs to be confirmed.
