Perry Braxton, a well known young colored man, died Friday afternoon, at 4:30 o'clock at the residence of his aunt, Lucretia Dorsey, W. Church Street, after an illness of nine days from pneumonia.
He was employed at the Crawford Bicycle Works at the emery belt, before his death. He was also in the employ of D.C. Aughinbaugh for three years.
Mary Nelson, daughter of Edward Nelson, to whom he was engaged, arrived at his bedside just before his death from Annapolis.
The deceased was a member of Ebenezer A.M.E. church, having been converted at the recent revival. He was in his 26th year and leaves a brother, Henry, living in Boston, and a sister, Mattie, in Baltimore.
