John "Manny" Armentor, 65, of Kinder passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 in a local hospital.

Mr. Armentor was born on October 25, 1957 in Sulphur and was raised in Creole where he lived until moving to Kinder with his daughter. He worked at Crain Brothers as a heavy machine operator before retirement.

He enjoyed building and flying RC Helicopters and attending fly-ins with his flying buddies. His most cherished time was spent with family and spoiling his grand dogs. Mr. Armentor was a wonderful, devoted father and grandfather.

Those left to cherish his family are daughters, Amanda Chaumont(Quinton) and Aimee Lindley(Derek) all of Kinder; grandchildren, Koby Chaumont(Kira), Brilee Chaumont, Jade Chaumont, Kinzee Chaumont, Bryson Gray, and Olivia Lindley all of Kinder; great grandson, Karter Chaumont; siblings, Kathy Wright(Curtis) of Dry Creek, James Armentor(Karen) also of Dry Creek, and Peggy Simon of Lake Charles; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Gremillion Armentor; parents, Samuel and Ina Nunez Armentor; son, Aaron Travis Armentor; sisters, Mary Jean Giroir and Cheryl Roux; brother, Kenneth Armentor; and nephews, Joseph "Joey" Broussard and Shawn Armentor.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 30, 2023 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Jerish George will officiate. Burial will follow in Our Lady of the Marsh Cemetery in Creole. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
