Born in a place once called "Wild Cat Holler" in Garland County, Arkansas, Sue was the daughter of William Alan Garrett and Maggie Leticia Burnett.
She grew up at Bauxite, Arkansas, and had two brothers, Virgil and Carroll Garrett.
Sue loved to cook for her family, piece quilt tops, crochet lace, and afghans. Learning to play the piano had been a dream of hers which she fulfilled later in life. She also enjoyed sewing and was amazing at gardening.
She leaves behind a husband of the home, 1 daughter, 1 son, 4 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
