Chlotele "Boots" Ellis was born Monday, June 18, 1945 in Beggs to the late Steve and Lucille (Nubbie) Cowan. She transitioned to her Eternal Life on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 in Okmulgee at seventy-seven years of age. Chlotele attended Wheatley School and dedicated her life to being a caregiver. She enjoyed reading, watching old westerns, country music and cleaning. She especially enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.
Chlotele was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Geno Cowan, Tommy Ross, and Wendell Ross.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, DeRon Ellis (Raquel) of Springfield, Illinois, Drumeika Stewart (Patrick) of West, Texas, Lunjua Bagby of Okmulgee and Joe Ellis of Okmulgee, siblings, Yvonne Foy, Gwendolyn Lewis (Greg), and DeAndrea Cullom (Greg), all of Beggs, a special nephew, Greg Cullom, Jr., fourteen grandchildren, Twenty-one great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
