Dez was born July 17, 1935 in Maurice, Louisiana to the late Ovey and Philomine Hebert.
Dez was retired from Sherwin-Williams Paint Store in Port Arthur, Texas as the Manager with 35 years of service. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves for many years, and was a member of the Port Neches Knights of Columbus Council 2461.
Dez is survived by his children, Denise Hebert of Groves, Texas, Tim Hebert and his wife Angie of Port Neches, Texas,Desiree Hebert of The Woodlands, Texas and Maria Hebert of Orange, Texas, his sister, Helen Boudin of Scott, Louisiana, his grandchildren, Shelby, Elyse, Karissa, Morgan and Laurel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Billie Besse, his brothers, Adles Hebert, George Hebert, Dules Hebert, Abbie Hebert and Melvin Hebert, his sisters, Ednes, Gertie, Elzedia, Elzia, Oveling, Lorena and Daisy.
A gathering of the family and friends will be Tuesday January 17, 2023 beginning at 3~4pm at Melancon's Funeral Home in Nederland followed by a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 4pm. A Christian Vigil Service will began at 4:30pm at the funeral home.
Burial in Greenlaw Memorial Park.
