A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Daisy “Memaw” Roberie will be held at 10am Friday, December 30, 2016 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Visitation with family and friends will take place Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Downs Funeral Home. Ms. Roberie passed away December 22, 2016.
Daisy Hebert Roberie was born April 10, 1931 to Ovey and Philomn Hebert in Abbeville, Louisiana. Daisy was raised in south Louisiana, but called Marshall her home for the past 35 years. She worked for many years in the oilfield industry as a Machinist. In her free time she enjoyed many hobbies including, fishing, camping and wreath making. Being from southern Louisiana she enjoyed good Cajun food, eating crawfish and telling tells. Daisy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Surviving Daisy are her children, Karen Sue Shields of Marshall, TX, and Barney Roberie of Nederland, TX; sisters, Reba McBride, Helen Boudoin, and brother, Diaz Hebert, Sr.; granddaughter, Alesha Roberie of Beckville, TX; great-grandchildren, Alyson Hartsell, Chandler Hartsell, Joshua Roberie, and Jacob Roberie.
Daisy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson, Alex Roberie.
