Mrs. Sam (Bula Mae) Christenberry of Murray Route One near Stella, passed away Tuesday at her home.
The deceased was 79 years of age and was the daughter of Pierce Kirkland and Louella Grant Kirkland. She was born July 15, 1889.
She and her husband who survives were married on September 23, 1911, and would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary this year. She was a faithful member of the West Fork Baptist Church until she became ill.
Survivors are her husband, Sam; one daughter, Mrs. Martin (Bronzie Nell) Young of Murray Route One; two sons, S. E. Christenberry of Detroit, Mich., and J. D. Christenberry of Hazel Park, Mich.
Also surviving are two granddaughters, Mrs. Waburn (Brenda) Wyatt of Murray Route One and Miss Joan Christenberry of Detroit, Mich.; three grandsons, Larry Young of Puryear, Tenn., Don and Glen Christenberry of Hazel Park, Mich.; three great grandchildren, Kerry, Terry, and Stephanie Wyatt.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at two p.m. at the West Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Heyward Roberts and Rev. Leon Penick officiating.
Burial will be in the West Fork Cemetery with the arrangements by the J. H. Churchill Funeral Home where friends may call.
