"ROSEBURG, Ore. Margery Jones Shores, 76, of Northwest Plateau died Sunday in the Mercy Medical Center after a long illness. She was born in Plattsburgh and lived in the Capital Region most of her life, before moving to Oregon 10 years ago. Mrs. Shores worked for the state Department of Taxation and Finance in Albany for more than 25 years, retiring as a senior clerk in 1972. She was a former member of the Community United Methodist Church in Slingerlands and the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Shores; a daughter, Emily Neves of Roseburg; a son, Kurt M. LeBesco of Guilderland; four sisters, Frances Bertrand of Orlando, Fla., Virginia Becker of Guilderland, Pauline Wodraska of Stewart, Fla., and Lorraine Kimball of Roanoke, Va.; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel at Memory's Garden in Colonie, with burial in the garden. Arrangements are by the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont." The nuptials took place April 3 in the Slingerlands Methodist Church, with Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mullligan of Hoboken, N. J., as honor attendants. The bride's brother, Russell Kimball of Poughkeepsie, ushered with William Field of Albany. A reception at the home of the bride's parents followed the evening ceremony. The newlyweds took a short honeymoon trip and are at 1504 New Scotland Rd., Slingerlands.
