MR AKSEL ALEXANDERSON

The death took place at his residence corner Binney Street and Hume Highway, Euroa, on Friday last, of Mr Aksel Alexanderson, an old and highly respected resident of the Locksley district, at the age of 70 years. Deceased, who was born in Norway had spent 40 years in Australia, most of them at Locksley, where he was esteemed for his fine neigh-borly qualities. He. retired some years ago and purchased a home in Euroa. Later he let his home and he and his wife moved to Bright to be near a married daughter, but some months ago again took up residence in Euroa. He had suffered a long illness. He leaves a widow and adult family, who have the sympathy of a large circle of friends. The interment took place in Longwood cemetery on Saturday when there was a large gathering to pay the last respect. The graveside service was read by Revd; H. S. Hannaford, of Euroa. The pall bearers were Messrs L. Grant, Nissen, A. Brook, J. Ewing, A. Starling and S. Dudley junr. Messrs H. H. Alexanderson, G. Alexanderson, H. R. Dudley, G. Whitman, C. Beames and S. Dudley were coffin bearers. Flower bearers were Messrs L. G. Grant, C. Brook, W. Kibble, H. Nasebandt, H. B. Nasebandt. Mrs H. Bell, Mrs Steers, Mrs Rennie Miss Correll, Mrs Dudley, Mrs Nasebandt, Messrs A Bell, P. Arthur, F. Wikman and R. W. McKenzie. Mr, R. L. Ferguson attended to the funeral arrangements.
