Tom Thackery, 67, of Mahtowa, Minnesota, died January 3, 2023. He was born December 31, 1955 to Oscar and Ruth Thackery of R 10, Greensburg, Indiana. He graduated from North Decatur High School where he played baseball and golf, and the Indiana University School of Business, Magna Cum Laude.
After a career as Director of Operations for Mercantile Stores, he founded his own business as an energy conservation consultant and traveled the Midwest seeing clients.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Nola, and is survived by wife Jennifer (Walton), brother Terry (Hope), nephews Joe (Fernanda) and Will, and brother-in-law Chuck Wolf.
Tom spent many happy hours with family and friends fishing northern lakes, and turning a wrench under the hood of his Alfa-Romeos. His smile of greeting will be long treasured.
