He was the former minister of Parrish Hill Baptist Church in Charles City, VA and Mt. Oni Baptist Church in Caroline Co., VA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, several siblings and stepson, Rodney Scott.
Surviving are his devoted wife, two step-grandchildren, two sisters, three brothers, a host of devoted nieces and nephews; five sisters-in-laws and other relatives and friends.
Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Monday, October 18 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Tuesday, October 19 at Parrish Hill Baptist Church, 12401 John Tyler Memorial Highway, Charles City, VA. Rev. Danny Tucker, officiating. Dr. Elmore Warren, eulogist. Interment church cemetery.
