Bio by Vonda Fairbanks Dihm From A Reminiscent History of the Ozark Region published 1894, page 151-152. In an article about Anthony Casey:
"His son William U. Casey general merchant and farmer of Mt. Partheon first saw the light of day in Newton County in 1849 and at an early age became familiar with the arduous duties of the farm. When twenty years of age he started out to make his own way in life and as he was familiar with argicultural pursuits in all it's details he selected that as his occupation for life. In the year 1869 he married to Miss Mary Elizabeth Carlton a native of Newton County, Arkansas and daughter of Anderson Carlton. Eight children were born to this union: James Marion; Amanda Jane, wife of Henry Phillips, George A; Jesse C; Levi; Sarah who died in infancy and Mary E. The mother these children died in Newton County and the father afterward married Miss Nancy Farmer, a native of Newton County and a daughter of Bird Farmer. There were four children born to this marriage: Delia deceased (see note below); John; Jasper; and Jency."

Note from Vonda Dihm about the info above: I think the name of the daughter who died in infancy should be Mary E. not Sarah (Sarah Josephine Casey born 24 August 1881 married Cyrus Hudson February 28, 1897). Also I do not have any information about a daughter of William Uriah and Nancy named Delia. There is a daughter Bertha C. born 1889 died 1890.

This book was published in 1894 so any info about William Uriah and family after that date would not be included.

William Uriah Casey
William Uriah Casey born 16 April 1849 died 5 April 1925 and is buried in Buffalo Cemetery. William married three times. First to Mary Elizabeth Carlton on 20 May 1969. They were the parents of 9 children. Mary Elizabeth died 4 August 1883 and William married Nancy I. Farmer on 2 August 1888. William and Nancy were the parents of seven children. Nancy died 7 January 1909 and William married Neppie/Nettie Elizabeth Henderson 7 January 1904. Neppie and William were the parents of five children. Neppie Elizabeth died 10 December 1924. There is some conflicting information about Neppie Elizabeth's name. On the 1880 census she is age 6 living in the household with her parents and her name is listed as "Elizabeth". Again in 1900 living with her parents she is listed as "Bettie" (nickname for Elizabeth). She is listed as Nettie on her marriage record (I have a copy of the original and the name is definitely Nettie) to William Uriah Casey in 1904. She is listed as "Bettie" on the 1910 census. In 1920 she is listed in the census as "Nettie". In the will of William Uriah Casey written 5 August 1924 one of his heirs is wife "Bettie". The inscription on her headstone reads "Bet". I do not have any source where she is listed as Neppie but most of her descendants firmly believe her name was Neppie
