Sealy was the daughter of Levi Self and Elizabeth Thrash (maiden name unknown). Her father Levi Self was a veteran and a pensioner of the War of 1812.

Sealy maried Anthony Casey 6 August 1846 in Newton County, Arkansas. Anthony was born 29 December 1826 in Morgan County, Tennessee the son of Jesse E. Casey and Martha "Patsy" Coe. Anthony served as a private in the Union Army in Captain A. R. McPherson's Company E. Second Regiment, Arkansas Infantry Volunteers. After the war he received a military pension and he also filed a petition with the Southern Claims Commission for reimbursement for supplies he furnished the Union troops during the war. Anthony died 6 September 1910 in Newton County, Arkansas and is buried in Buffalo Cemetery in Newton County, Arkansas.

Anthony and Sealy were the parents of seven children:

1. Martha E. Casey (1847-1925)
See link below under children.

2. William Uriah Casey born 16 April 1849 died 5 April 1925 and is buried in Buffalo Cemetery. William married three times. First to Mary Elizabeth Carlton on 20 May 1969. They were the parents of 9 children. Mary Elizabeth died 4 August 1883 and William married Nancy I. Farmer on 2 August 1888. William and Nancy were the parents of seven children. Nancy died 7 January 1909 and William married Neppie/Nettie Elizabeth Henderson 7 January 1904. Neppie and William were the parents of five children. Neppie Elizabeth died 10 December 1924. There is some conflicting information about Neppie Elizabeth's name. On the 1880 census she is age 6 living in the household with her parents and her name is listed as "Elizabeth". Again in 1900 living with her parents she is listed as "Bettie" (nickname for Elizabeth). She is listed as Nettie on her marriage record (I have a copy of the original and the name is definitely Nettie) to William Uriah Casey in 1904. She is listed as "Bettie" on the 1910 census. In 1920 she is listed in the census as "Nettie". In the will of William Uriah Casey written 5 August 1924 one of his heirs is wife "Bettie". The inscription on her headstone reads "Bet". I do not have any source where she is listed as Neppie but most of her descendants firmly believe her name was Neppie.

3. Levi Newton Casey (1851-1931)

She died 3 March 1902 and is buried in Buffalo Cemetery. Jesse and Mary Elizabeth were the parents of eleven children.
Jesse married second Emma Lackey on 23 March 1904 in Newton County, Arkansas. Emma was born 4 March 1881 to Amos Burrel Lackey and Sarah Ann Baughman. Emma died 29 Jen 1916 and is buried in Buffalo Cemetery. Jesse and Emma were the parents of 3 children.
