Floretta Godfrey Rozzelle, 90, of Park Garden Nursing Home, died March 11, 2016 at 1:10 a.m. at the nursing home.
Funeral services will be conducted at Leighs Temple AME Church Cemetery on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Charlie Bowe. Burial will be in Leighs Temple Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at 11:00 a.m. Stallings Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Floretta in her early age attended Leighs Temple Church with her deceased parents, Robert and Golena Godfrey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, and sons William Thatch of Elizabeth City, Charles Rozzelle and Steve Rozzelle.
Survivors include daughters, Arrie Price and Emily and Robert Yates of South Carolina, Claudette Sims of Houston, TX, Antoinette Rozelle of Jacksonville, Fla. and Janice Patterson of South Carolina; sons, David Overton and (Mary) of New Hope, NC, Arthur G. Rozzelle of Bronx, NY, Benamin and Cora Rozzelle of Dallas, TX, and Darnell Rozzelle of Bronx, NY; grandchildren and other relatives and friends. As published in The Daily Advance
