Mildred Elizabeth Robinson was born in Snow Hill, Maryland, on November 16, 1923 to the late Harvey, Sr. and Aline Taylor. She was the fifth born of nine children. She resided in Chester, PA for the majority of her life, being educated in the Chester School system. In February 1943, she married the love of her life, Lawrence H. Robinson, Sr. and together they were blessed to raise five wonderful children, Elaine, Lawrence Jr., Joyce, Donald and Cheryl. Mildred received Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age and had been dedicated and faithful to keeping her commitment to God throughout her life. Raising her children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord as a member of First Pentecostal Holy Church, where she and her family were members for numerous years. While there, she was a member of the choir and nurses unit. In 1994, she joined New Life Ministries International, which was founded by her daughter, Apostle Joyce E. Scott. Continuing in her commitment to the Lord and His people, she was a member of the hospitality committee and was always dependable and willing to put her hands to the plow, whenever and wherever she was needed. An example to many, she truly exemplified Proverbs 31. She was a tremendous blessing to all who had the opportunity to know and experience her.
Mildred, or Mom Mildred, Mom-Mom or Aunt Mildred, as so many affectionately called her, was a Certified Hairdresser as well as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was employed at Fair Acres Nursing Home, Wallingford Nursing Home and as a private duty nurse at various hospitals and nursing homes. Mildred had a great love for people and her generous and compassionate spirit was evident through her caring for those in need, young and old alike. She'd take groceries to those in need, bring and care for the sick in her home, feed everyone who entered her home and never hesitated to encourage the broken hearted. She truly had the heart of a servant. Mildred also received numerous awards, certificates and letters of recognition.
