My aunt. The loving daughter of the late Harvey James Taylor, Sr. and Aline Floyd Taylor. Virginia received her education through the Chester School System. She was formerly employed by the old Chester Hospital in the housekeeping department; she also worked for several private families in Delaware County and Vicinity. Later she provided child care for many children and families. Virginia met and married the late Clarence A. Chavis, Sr. who predeceased her in April, 1990. She was also predeceased by two sisters; Magdalene Taylor and Mary A. Anderson Jay; five brothers; Harvey, Clifton, Milton, Harold (Sr.) and Ernest (Sr.) Taylor. She will always be remembered for her big heat, love of children and quick wit. She will also be remembered for her famous Sweet potato Pies and her down home Chicken and Dumplings. She leaves to cherish her home going: seven children: four sons and three daughters, Delores, Alfonso, Robert (Bobby), Jacob, Paulette, Clarence and Jeanette; 37 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. One sister Mildred E.Robinson. She also leaves behind three daughter in laws; Marie, Vivian and Jackie; one son i law: Samuel; one brother in law: Lawrence; one sister in law: Ruth, as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
