Benjamin Franklin Capps was the only son of Harriet Sanders and Larkin Capps , Larkin died of Measles during the Civil War, Larkin was the youngest son of Baptist Preacher Benjamin Capps and wife Zelphia Haynes married November 17 1813 in Grainger County, Tennessee. Ben married Letty Christina Martin in 1879, he married Elizabeth Freeman in 1887, he was a Carpenter, Blacksmith and School Teacher

Ben was called"Uncle Ben" , he was a talented musician, he played a guitar and would sing at church meetings and attracted a large audience.

In the mid 1850's to early 1900's Ben had many Capps cousins, aunts & uncles in Ozark, Howell and Douglas counties in Missouri including an Aunt Delilah Jane Capps Shelton, wife of A J Shelton that died of Small Pox during the Civil War.

Ben died in 1920, he lived in Pine Creek Township, likely not far from Sycamore, he was interred in Martin Cemetery where two twin infant sons, his mother Harriet and possibly his two wives are interred.
