Mr. Charles Dean Rothrock, age 88 of Winnsboro, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, February 17, 2022, in Winnsboro. He was born on February 10, 1934, in Wellington, Kansas​, to the late Alfred Rothrock and Marie Ordway Rothrock. Charles was a retired Dallas firefighter and member of Chapel in the Woods Christian Fellowship in Winnsboro. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his father Alfred Rothrock and mother Marie Ordway Rothrock, his brother Richard Rothrock, two sisters, Ruth Aday and Ann McIntyre, his son Jerry Dean Rothrock, and an infant grandchild Hailey Marie Rothrock.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of forty-two years, Carolyn Rothrock, his sister Janet Konzeak, his son Mike Rothrock and his wife Margaret, daughter, Lea Patrice Rothrock and her husband, Kimball Bishop, Terri Rothrock, the widow of his late son Jerry, stepsons Aubre Smith and his wife Renee, and David Gates and his wife Kelly; his grandchildren: Shelly Waskom, Laura Perry, Patrick Rothrock, Ashley Rothrock, Charles Rothrock, Sam Ray, Rocko Bishop, Brianna Smith, Taylor Smith, Alexander Yi, Gavin Wheeler, Sinclair Gates; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Chapel in the Woods Christian Fellowship, 500 Private Rd. 7993, Winnsboro, Texas, at 10:00 am with Pastor Alan Metzel officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel in The Woods Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Ron South, Donnie Ditto, Tim Coody, Jerry Capps, Kevin Taylor, and Jeremy Madsen serving as pallbearers.
