Gene A. Gurney, 86, of Sebring, passed away and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 1:10 pm at his home in Sebring, Ohio.

Born on June 23, 1934 in Alliance (Mahoning Co.), to Eugene and Evelyn (Cunin) Gurney, he lived in the Alliance and Sebring areas all of his life.

A 1952 graduate of Alliance High School, Gene was a member of Maximo Zion Church.
Gene was employed at Alliance Machine Co. as a mechanic and retired in 1984 after 25 years of service.

He was the owner of the former A & S Lettering.

Gene enjoyed woodworking and painting and was an avid bowler.

Survivors include his two daughters, Rhonda Curtis of Canton and Lori Fagan of Alliance; several grandchildren & great-grandchildren; and his longtime companion, Mary Walters.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Arlene Gurney; two sons, Michael Gurney and Kevin Gurney; a daughter, Kathy Kunkle; and his parents.

Private services will be held at Highland Memorial Park.
