He was born at Syracuse, N. Y., Jan, 3, 1864, and had been a resident, of Oshkosh for about 50 years. He was married to Ella Knaags Sept.25, 1893, and they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1943.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic church.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Equitz of Chicago and Miss Mable Awerdick of Oshkosh, and one grandson, David Equitz of Chicago.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 8:30 o'clock at Fiss & Bills funeral home and at 9 o'clock at St. Peter's Catholic church with the Rev. Arthur J. Danks officiating. Interment will take place at Riverside cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. from Sunday, afternoon until the hour of the services. The rosary will be said Sunday evening at 8 o'clock.
