Aaron was the son of Aaron Crafton Jr and Thelma Crafton. He was educated in the Dougherty County School System. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps, enlisting in 1967 and serving 2 tours of duty in Vietnam where he was injured and received the Purple Heart and his Honorable Discharge. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia. He spent his final years in the Veterans Georgia War Nursing Home in Augusta, Georgia.

2 Sisters: Lois Wilson(Rev W.W.) and Jo-Ann Beckett.
2 Brothers: Joseph Crafton(Lillie) and Kelvin Crafton.
Services were held Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 1PM in the Dunbar Chapel of Poteat-Wakefield Funeral Directors in Albany, Georgia.
