Mrs. Margaret Owen, 67, of 754 Cyrus, died at 6:47 p.m. Wednesday at Irene Byron sanitarium near Fort Wayne after an eight-month illness.
Born in Sexton, Mo., July 13, 1890, she was the daughter of William and Oma Hillman. She was married to Charles Owen on Feb. 14, 1942, in Valparaiso.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Dora Sabinske of Chesterton; a son, William Fitzgerald, and a stepson, Harry Owen, both of LaPorte; four brothers, John Hillman of Washington, Ill., the Rev. Basil Hillman of Gary, Virgil Looney of Salem, Mo., and Herschel Dahlman of Portland, Ore.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Carl Edmonds Funeral home, Chesterton, and burial will be in Chesterton cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from Friday noon until services.
