Mary Lueree Sparks Buckner, 64, of Hartsfield died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at her residence.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at Cotton Assembly of God. Burial will follow at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

Born Sept. 30, 1940, in Bulloch County, Mrs. Buckner was the daughter of Bessie Wood Sparks and the late C.B. Sparks. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther George Buckner Sr.; a son, Little John Buckner; her father, C.B. Sparks; her mother-in-law, Elsie Watson Buckner; and her father-in-law, M.C. Buckner.

Survivors include her mother, Bessie Wood Sparks of Chattahoochee, Fla.; two sons, Luther "Luke" Buckner Jr. and wife Teresa and James A. Buckner Sr. and wife Mae, all of Hartsfield; two daughters, Debbie Buckner of Sparta, Tenn., and Dianna Lueree Flynn and husband Joe of Covington; two brothers, Alfred Sparks and wife Jean of Tifton and Charles Sparks and wife Glenda of Crawfordville, Fla.; three sisters, Christine Lackey and husband Jr. of Tallahassee, Fla., Clemmie Jo Shaw and husband Bill of Southport, Fla., and Juanita Key and husband Bobby of Chattahoochee; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
